The industrial activities are developed in the privately owned complex where the raisin, olive oil and citrus fruit process is carried out.
The modern production facilities (equipped with sorting devices for the food industry of the latest technology such as laser, x-rays, metallic detectors etc) comply with the strictest food industry specifications and they meet all modern health and safety standards as well as the most demanding standards of the biggest foreign industries.
ACUA SA has grown to approximately 200 specialized employees involved in its industrial daily activities.
All production procedures are certified under ISO 9001, ISO 22000, BRC, KOSHER, HALAL and GLOBALGAPstandards. The Quality Control Labs are certified according to ISO 17025.

The producers deliver the raisins at ACUA SA facilities in late November in special pallet containers.
The entire process is performed according to strict specificationsof ACUA, namely quality control and classification, disinfestations and storage in modern storing spaces according to the strictest hygiene rules.
The processing of the product is performed only following order of a customer.
From the raisin-feeder raisins pass directly through sieves and they are separated depending on their size. Special extractors are used to remove the red thin berries, and chaffs as well as anything lighter than the raisins. Then raisins are washed, stipes are removed and they are sorted with the use of laser and x-ray devices. The next important sot-out stage is hand sorting by experienced workers. Finally the raisins are packed in carton boxes, pass through metallic detectors and are ready for use.
During the production process the Quality Control Labs –certifiedaccording to ISO 17025 – monitor the operation, take samples and conduct the necessary tests.
To achieve the safest possible result, the production process at the ACUA facilities is fully in accordance with the quality standards ISO 9001, ISO 22000, BRC, KOSHER και HALA
The olive oil
The traditional harvesting methods applied ensure that the fruits remain healthy. Fruits are immediately sent for crushing to the olive presses of the ACUA member-cooperatives that are scattered in the villages. This is where the olive oil is produced at low temperatures by olive oil knowledgeable and caring people.
The olive oil is, after strict scientific selection, is collected in stainless reservoirs at a specially insulated indoor space.
The product is transferred for bottling by means of a fully stainless network, without any chemical or other treatment other than filtering so as to remove moist and foreign matters.
The standardization processes are certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 22000. The olive oil analysis is conducted in the ACUA ISO 17025 certified Quality Control modern Labs.
The citrus fruits
ACUA’s modern packaging unit is equipped with cold storage rooms, sorting and packaging line as well as automatic net and girsac packaging lines.
The production processes are certified according to GLOBALGAP.
