QUALITY ASSURANCE
P.E.S. Union considers as very important the quality control and the certification of its production processes according to international organizations quality standards. Main target of P.E.S. Union is to produce high quality products in order to satisfy customers' needs. Company’s products are persistently checked in its laboratories according to the strictest rules of European
Union.
"VOSTIZZA" currants are verified by the European Union Certification of Protected Designation of Origin (P.D.O.) - EEC No 2081/92. Concerning the currant's plant, the principles of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (ISO 22000) are applied (since 1994) in the processing and storage steps, and full records of quality and processing parameters data may be found for both the raw material and the final-processed product, as part of the existing ISO 9001:2000 and BRC quality management systems.
Olive oil factory is certicied by HACCP. Citrus fruits processes are certified by GLOBALGAP.
The laboratory is licensed with ELOT-EN-ISO/IEC 17025:2005 for Ochratoxin A (in house method OE017 based on journal of Chromatography 543 (1991), 220-225) and Humidity analyses for currants (in house method OE017 using chamber) and Acidity for extra virgin olive oil.
The growers-members of the Union are advised by professionals in organic farming so as to produce 100% organic products according to international quality standards.
Organic products are all certified by DIO (ΔΗΩ).
