CURRANTS PROCESSING DESCRIPTION

The fruit is received almost immediately after cropping and sun drying, in large plastic crates, which are washed and sanitized by the company. Currants collection is a particular process according to the strictest specifications of P.E.S. Union, such as quality control and classification, fumigation and, at the end, storage in the modern storehouses under widely acceptable hygienic conditions.

The product is checked by experienced personnel, while samples are checked for physical and chemical parameters, such as moisture content, Ochratoxin A and pesticide residues. All product is fumigated before entering the main warehouse. P.E.S. Union produces only after customer's order, following agreed specification and no storage of ready product takes place. "VOSTIZZA" currants are packed in bulk in cartons of 5, 10 and 12.5 kgs net weight and in retail packs (pillow bags, block bottom bags).
